THE FIT IN: PILATES REFORMED I · BED-STUY
Reformer & Tower Pilates in Bed-Stuy
Small classes, serious work, and instructors who know your name. At 410 Marcus Garvey Blvd, between Halsey and Macon.
Strength starts on the equipment
The Fit In: Pilates Reformed is our original equipment studio, part of Bed-Stuy for more than eight years. Every station has a reformer and a tower, so your workout often moves between the moving carriage and the springs, bars and straps of the tower. It's a small room on purpose. With 4 stations, your instructor sees every rep, sets up your springs and adjusts each exercise to your body.
We come to the equipment to get stronger: a deeper core, better posture, and joints that move the way they should. Expect to feel it the next day.
New to Pilates? Start with Fundamentals and we'll teach you the equipment from the ground up.
4 reformer and tower stations.
Real attention.
Every class is small enough for hands-on cues and form corrections, so you're never lost in the back row.
A real workout.
Alignment takes work.
This isn't gentle stretching on a machine. Our classes build strength you'll use carrying groceries, climbing brownstone stairs and keeping up with your kids.
Every body belongs.
You belong.
All ages, sizes and fitness levels train here, side by side. We adjust each move for you, and nobody competes with the person on the next machine.
Pilates Reformed: Fundamentals
Back to the basics. In this class we focus on the pilates principles on each of the apparatus, keeping the moves simple yet challenging. This class is great for beginners and those dealing with injuries.

What's on the equipment?
Reformer: a sliding carriage with springs for resistance. It supports you and challenges you at the same time.
Tower: a frame with springs, a push-through bar and straps. It's great for building strength in the back, arms and legs, and for deep, supported stretching.

What People Are Saying
“Honestly the best Pilates studio I’ve been to in more than 20 years of attending classes on and off. So many Pilates classes I’ve attended over the years have felt like light exercise at best, but The Fit In’s are a serious workout that leave your muscles feeling it afterwards (and have even left me sweating one or twice).”
— Rachel H., Google Review“Pilates is the most supportive and challenging discipline I've come across, and my body craves it. The small classes and tuned-in staff make this a stellar experience”
— Leah C., Google Review“t was my first time, and it won't be the last. Our instructor was informative and caring. The location provided a good instructor to participant ratio.”
— Zindzi B., MindBody ReviewBlack-owned.
Bed-Stuy born.
The Fit In was founded in 2018 by Ife Obi, a Brooklyn native and longtime Bed-Stuy resident, to bring high-quality Pilates and strength training to Central Brooklyn. Today we run four studios within walking distance of each other, and we still put people over profit.

No. Pilates Reformed: Fundamentals is built for first-timers. We'll teach you the reformer and tower step by step.
-
A tower is a frame with springs, a push-through bar and straps, attached to the reformer. It adds exercises you can't do on the carriage alone, and it's great for strengthening the back, arms and legs.
-
Equipment classes use springs to add resistance and support, so every exercise can be made harder or easier. Mat classes use your body weight on the floor. Our mat and Pilates chair classes are at Beats & Barres, 304 Malcolm X Blvd, and Pilates Reformed II at 248 Patchen Ave also has chairs.
